About Sasha

Sasha is a yoga asana teacher practicing since 1993 and teaching since 2003. She is strongly inspired by the Ashtanga system - having studied with many of the leading teachers in this system from around the world - but practices and teaches Vinyasa Flow and Hatha styles too.

Who is yoga for?

She has run dozens of retreats, workshops and festival classes over the years, having worked mainly in the Oxford area with individuals, sportspeople, corporates, at yoga studios and in health clubs, and in small, intimate classes through to classes of 70+ people.
She has just presented classes at the World Yoga Festival, run weekend retreats at Champneys health spas, and numerous UK and overseas retreats.

Attendees include complete beginners through to advanced practitioners; individuals, colleagues, teammates, couples and families. The only prerequisite is an attitude of positive self-discovery, but please do check first with your healthcare provider if you are concerned by any health issues.

She currently leads regular classes at David Lloyd Oxford.

She hopes to honour her teachers by inspiring others in the same way she has been inspired, to pass on these amazing yoga practices. She is aware that dedication to yoga can be challenging sometimes, but although Sasha takes yoga completely seriously, she attempts to convey the techniques in a fun, enjoyable, accessible way that inspires commitment and helps uncover inner strength on a previously unimagined level.

Qualifications

She is RYT® 200, E-RYT® 500 and YACEP® registered with Yoga Alliance and Level 3 Yoga Teacher with The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (formerly REPS).
